Who we are

Jon Luxton

Jon Luxton has had a varied and - he would say - exciting career. He has been an IT specialist, worker in TV, restaurateur, an equality project manager for the Welsh Assembly Government, business advisor and, running parallel to these professions, he has been a performer and trainer.
In 2001, Jon co-founded uhhhuh dance co. to pursue his artistic aspirations. His love of performing and commitment to the benefits of training, led Jon to combine these skills in developing Cognition.

Jon's work as a business advisor has allowed him to have a real understanding of the requirements of business. He uses this knowledge to assist clients when developing Cognition's bespoke training, training that is both enjoyable and centred around clear, measurable objectives

Andy Marshall

Before establishing Cognition Associates,
Andy Marshall was a member of the world renowned Geese Theatre Company, working with offenders and professionals within the criminal justice system.

Geese's drama based approach to behaviour change was a superb preparation for working with businesses and organisations. The skills necessary to build rapport with a group of prison inmates, overcoming scepticism and even hostility; to push thinking to a deeper level and to help find practical ways forward have proved invaluable in Andy's role as a business trainer.

Cognition has developed and delivered training programmes, devised special conference sessions and produced digital film presentations for many companies and organisations across the UK.
